Introduction to
Science-Backed Mindfulness

6-Week Course

Join us for a 60-minute experiential mindfulness program that will introduce a variety of basic mindfulness skills to reduce stress and enhance focus.

We will discuss why mindfulness isn’t yoga, how basic neuroscience allows us to create a space between stimulus and response and how we can combat our negativity bias. We’ll dive into setting intentions, breath-work, movement, gratitudes, mindful communication and healing circles. When our body is soothed, we can find enhanced calm, clarity and comfort to ride the waves of life.

Please arrange a comfortable and (relatively) quiet place to sit and move, and bring your notebook and a growth mindset. During week two we will practice a gentle movement sequence, all other weeks are office-movement friendly.

About the Program

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of hosting a mindfulness program for students where we practiced noticing, sitting with and transforming emotions.  In just an hour we were able to connect on a deeper level and experience tools that support an world environment that is both intense, rapidly changing and emotionally complex.

The program integrates traditional science-back mindfulness tools with somatic skills that encourage us to leave the story and get back to the body.  We’ll dive into setting intentions, breath-work, movement, gratitudes, mindful communication and healing circles. When our body is soothed, we can find enhanced calm, clarity and comfort to ride the waves.

Please arrange a comfortable and (relatively) quiet place to sit and move, and bring your notebook and a growth mindset. During week two we will practice a gentle movement sequence, all other weeks are office-movement friendly.
